Parent Advisory and Parent Involvement
Each year our parents nominate new members into our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC). The Parent Advisory Committee is a body of parents formed to offer a variety of services including assessments and evaluations of the children’s program, our indoor/outdoor environments, site personnel, parent-site personnel partnerships and other qualities of our program. Parent involvement helps the program to reach its goals by parents volunteering time for projects and school activities and helping teachers in the classroom. This interaction has been proven to help your children learn more effectively by allowing them to feel more comfortable, as in the home, to allow the learning process to begin. The parent advisory committee also gathers its resources annually to raise funds to purchase much needed classroom and play ground equipment and to finance field trips throughout the year. The parent advisory committee is encouraged to act as the voice for all parents and to assist them to get involved in classroom activities and school events – anytime they are available.
