Azusa Montessori

Where Children Learn and Discover

Serving Children Ages 18 Months – 5 Years

Azusa Montessori Academy

Azusa Montessori Academy opened its doors for operation in July 2006. Since then we have offered high quality preschool program to many hundreds of families in the City of Azusa. Parents love the program and continue to offer their support daily in many ways to display their appreciation for the teachers. In doing this they also add richness to the classroom and provide a solid foundation to develop a culture around education and learning for their young children.

Many families have come back to the school to thank the director and teachers for the wonderful job they had done in preparing their young children for the challenges ahead and instilling in them the love of learning and life-long confidence which is attained through the early achievement of repeated successes in performing basic to more challenging activities, thus gaining the skills necessary for life success.

Parents volunteer their time both independently and through the school’s parent advisory committee (PAC) throughout the year. Their appreciation of the program is especially shown through their help and many efforts during school events.

Meet the Site Director – Zili Wang

Ms. Zili Wang is driven by her passion for education. In 2017, she earned her Master of Science degree in Educational Administration from California State University, Fullerton. The following year, she embarked on her journey to become a certified Montessori teacher through the American Montessori Society.

Continuing her educational pursuits, from 2019 to 2023, Ms. Wang completed Early Childhood Education Administration courses at UCLA Extension, culminating in her attainment of a Site Supervisor Certificate. Concurrently, in 2023, she successfully earned her Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Policy from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology.

Additionally, she volunteered for 8 years at a church school on Sundays, supporting children aged 2-7. She loves working with young children to cultivate the moral and intellectual development of children.  Her passion lies in integrating the Montessori method, Aesthetic education, and Humanism education to empower children, fostering independence, nurturing an appreciation for beauty, and cultivating a profound sense of well-being of younger children.
